About Me

Coach Lynnette Luna is entering her 5th season with Five Star VBC, bringing a wealth of experience as both a former collegiate athlete and as a dedicated coach. She currently serves as the Head JV Volleyball Coach at Arvada West High School, now in her 3rd year.

 

A proud alumni of Arvada West , Lynnette was a three-year letter winner who helped lead her team to two league titles. In her senior year, she earned all conference, all-state, and team MVP honors.

 

Lynnette began her collegiate career at Hawaii Pacific University on a full volleyball scholarship, where she played a key role in helping her team win the NAIA National Championship. She later transferred to Western Washington University, where she capped off her playing career with all-conference honors.

 

Since transitioning into coaching, Lynnette has worked with volleyball athletes at various levels, sharing her passion and competitive spirit with the next generation of players. "I love seeing athletes transform themselves both in terms of skill and mental toughness. It's a gratifying experience to see their confidence grow and their joy for the game explode."

Lynnette has previous coaching experience at the Club, HS, and MS levels prior to her joining Five Star.  Lynnette is currently coaching at Arvada West HS as well.

Playing Experience

Lynnette grew up in Colorado and has been involved with volleyball for the last 33 years as both a player and coach. She was an all-conference/all-state player at Arvada West High School (she played in the all-state match with Holly Kidd!) In 1990, Lynnette went on to play volleyball on scholarship at Hawaii Pacific University. Her team won the 1990 NAIA National Championship. Lynnette ended her collegiate volleyball career at Western Washington University, playing outside hitter and garnering league player of the week recognitions and all-conference honors.
